This exceptional 1999 stallion arrived in Texas as a yearling from Bandy's
Welsh Mountain Ponies in Oregon. Since then, Royal has exceeded
all expectations with his even temperament, easy trainability, perfect
movement and numerous show ring victories. Royal was trained to drive
in early 2002 and has been doing beautifully in pleasure driving classes.
Royal is also the proud sire of Scarborough Crusader out of Severn
Winsome, a handsome black roan 2002 colt; 2004 filly Scarborough Flutterby out of Magic Tiffany; a 2004 filly out of Severn Winsome; 2004 colt Tylwyth Drummer Boy out of Tylwyth Piccolo) and 2005 filly Scarborough Penny Candy out of Menai Seren Aur.

Although Royal was an exceptionally well-mannered stallion, he was gelded in April 2004 so he could concentrate on his incredibly successful career as a driving pony. Since then he has won grand champion in pleasure driving.
